Anyone try cleanshot for .40? What's the scoop

I got some cleanshot that I would like to try in .40 and am just curious what you guys think of this powder. I hear great things about it in 9 minor and I'm hoping it will work good for .40 major as well. Thanks

2011 5" STI barrel - 200gr Blue Bullet,  1.175 OAL 4.3gr Cleanshot = 171PF at NC State.

It sucks. I wouldn't use it if I were you.

 

I've been through about 30lbs or so in .40. It's a good powder for .40. What bullet are you using?

180RN blue bullet out of a cz TSO

I just loaded 300 of those today. 4.8gr clean shot at a 1.180 oal.

4.8? Man that seems like a lot. I haven't used any yet so... I've been using ramshot competition at 4.3 grains and it shoots pretty soft

Makes a 173pf out of a STI DVC. I just loaded some 165gr Zero jhp with 5.2. I hope to chrono them this week.
