ramnj Posted September 17, 2017 Share Posted September 17, 2017 (edited) LE has magazine safety. Won't shoot if magazine is out. Without the magazine the trigger bar moves inwards and the trigger bar is out of place. Once the magazine is inserted, the trigger bar moves back against the frame. Easy to remove and all you need is a portion of an ink pen spring or call S&W and they'll send you the correct part to make it non-LE. I believe the trigger is also heavier, but not sure. The only difference I could see was the price structure. This was a 5 inch 40. edit: it doesn't have a mag safety or night sights ...
