BigBamBoo
So our local club recently purchased a MGM spinner. We have been using it for out Tuesday Evening Steel shoots...and folks HATE it. So of corse I personally think it would be a great prop for a USPSA stage. My question is is this a prop that can and should be used for USPSA? If yes, how about some suggestions on a stage design for its use. thanks
jester121
4.3.1.5 Scoring metal targets must be shot and fall or overturn to score. Equating "spin" with "overturn" would be a stretch.
BigBamBoo
Got it.
thermobollocks
Is this USPSA pistol or is it multi-gun? Keep in mind, if pistol, it may also run afoul of the required shots per view rule.
motosapiens
not a legal target, and while they are fun to practice on, I find them stupid to use in a match, and discouraging to less skilled shooters. And wtf is wrong with people that they want to build stages people will hate?
wgj3
Realistically, they also create some safety concerns in bays where you don't want rounds leaving the berms. If you catch the top plate on its way "down" going away from you, it creates a nice ramp for the bullet to skip right on out of the bay.
Darqusoull13
Not legal for USPSA but a blast to shoot in 3 gun and other matches. I think it's also an interesting target to work timing of both the sights during recoil and optimal target availability. At our last falling steel match (NOT USPSA) I think more USPSA shooters enjoyed the spinner than the 3 gunners did
davsco
fun with shotgun (and shot). not fun with pistol or rifle as it's just too long to sit around and hit the same target over and over. stars or propeller/polish plate racks are way funner. HCH
Not legal for USPSA. I don't mind them TOO much in 3 gun for pistols, as I shoot Major PF.
bladewurk
I have seen these at Level 1 matches but these matches don't have legal shooting area boundaries or dedicated ROs either so..I do wish the plates actually stayed on when 1 was shot. enzo357
Fun but not legal in Uspsa. Funny watching sub minor load shooters attempt.
