sniper3
I haven't reloaded 223 in a very long time, but I thought I remember using a carbide resizing die . searched the web but can't seem to find a carbide resizing die so I don't have to use lube. Any help or suggestions ?
uewpew
IMO if you're full length resizing use lube, regardless of die material. If you're only neck resizing, you can use the Lee Collet Neck sizing die without lube.
wgj3
Dillon makes a carbide 223 die, but lube is still absolutely required.
lefty o
you can skip the lube, but you will only do it once.

21 shooter
Dillon lube and their carbide die is a winning combination.
Balwolley
I think with ANY bottleneck cartridge you must use lube, and a good lube at that. I've used hornady one shot, it works well but it's kind of expensive. I've heard great things about Dillon lube but have no first hand experience. As of now I'm actually using the imperial sizing wax. It is a little bit messier, but it works FANTASTIC! Right now I'm working on some .308 brass that I've had some problems sizing before, but with the wax it's smooth as pistol brass.
chevrofreak
The Dillon carbide die with a lanolin oil/isoheet lube mix makes sizing a .223 case take as much effort as sizing an unlubed 9mm case.
