Justinmac13
Does anyone know if Schuemann is still in business? I am unable to get a hold of anyone.
Gooldylocks
Gonna go ahead and bump this up, they have some barrels in stock on their website but I hesitate to order one since by all accounts they are defunct. Does anyone have details?
Hawk21
Following... as I had plans to grab a hybrid barrel and build a sight tracker. I am assuming SVI is the only other option, which states a 6 week lead time on their barrels?
Justinmac13
Thanks for the bump When I add to cart on the website It doesn't do anything I don't think the website is operational

They are listed on the Schuemann website as in stock.. but I don't think that is probably true.

Hawk21
Did anyone have a chance to phone them today, I completely forgot until just now? I am sure all hybrid .40 barrels are going to be out of stock at online retailers.

pjb45
Wil S and Sandy S were friends way back when. Sandy built a fixture that really allowed for accuracy testing of the barrels. Mike did the best job he could when he owned the company. I shot Nationals with Mike and he was a gentlemen. SV barrels look a lot like Schuemann barrels for a reason, that is not to say that Brandon/Sandy might not have made improvements. SV is a great company, superior customer service. They are worth the six week wait time. IMO, Schuemann barrels are slower than either Nowlin or Kart. I was able to side by side comparison testing with all three barrels and they were slower. Maximis228
I dont think speed is the issue but rather barrel profile.
bmiller
When I ordered my barrel from SV I was told it was a 6 week wait. I think they shipped in 2. I have been very happy with it.

BeerBaron
gooldy, did you ever get an answer? it would be sad to lose Schumann as a barrel option...
pjb45
SV is a great option for Schumann type barrels. Now I understand the Nevada reference-thanks.
racegun9
Schuemann made some barrels that are just not available from anyone else. (Threaded blank hybrid types in different barrel and hybrid lengths for open guns mostly or AET.) Trying to find an exact replacement for an existing gun is not going to happen. Sounds like machine and personal problems have him shut down right now. Hopefully he can get things going again. I'm on the SV 6 week barrel wait for a new build right now. Maximis228
6 weeks is what is quoted. I have found they ship in 2-3 weeks often times.

Blurryvisions
any ideas when they will be back up and running? Schuemann made the best barrels hands down.
