urnsrus
Somehow, lost my load data. Loading for .38 Super, using MB JHP 124 gr. how much N320?
Balakay
I'm new to Open, but know enough that if you are shooting Major PF, N320 is the wrong powder.
Intel6
Yes N320 is way too fast. You could use it for a 130 PF steel load but not for making major loads.
Balakay
I worked up a load and Chrono'd yesterday. I started at 8.6 g of 3N38. I will likely use 9.5-9.6. urnsrus
I have both N350 and some N320. A friend of mine bought a Bill Wilson .38 super limited carry gun that Bill recommended the N320. So I loaded some for him, however they were not for competition. That said, I didn't know if it was a good powder for my Open STI. Seems the general opinion is that it is not. N350 would be better and I have been shooting that powder in my loads for years with no problems.
NeurOn
I use for my open gun VV350 8,3gr with 123 RN loss bullets and i have PF 167 with this load. but with LOVEX D037.1 with same bullets i have much better results PF172 for load i have to ask my friend he is developing this for me :). we will test also with LOVEX D036 my pistol is STI 2011 eagle with no holes and 3 comp ports. N320 is not ok for major..is to fast..

I would doubt that most people carrying a .38 Super would not have a comp, or be carrying Major loads (165 PF +). But, you're correct - for an Open gun (comp & 165 PF+) you'd be way better off with N350
