Intel6
I noticed that the SG tube loaders as being lsited as new/inproved/USPSA approved. http://www.speedshooter.com/product_detail...3076&ID=TEC They look the same to me. Anyone know what the improvements are?
L9X25
The improvement deals with the part that pushes the shotgun shell out of the loading tube. The older models could contact and "smear" the primer and set off the shell potentially causing a catastrophic chain reaction. The improved models are supposed to be slotted or shaped in a manner that they do not come into contact with the primer. Leo
Intel6
When I first heard about the loaders setting off rounds I went out and checked mine for both the Remington and Benelli guns. The pushrod on both of them has slots in the fact of them. I purchased those loaders back in 1998 and they had the slot. I thought that was all that was needed but was wondering of they made some other changes?
L9X25
Intel, I believe that mine were about the same vintage as yours and they were simply a round plastic "knob" with no slot at all. I never had an explosion but learned that I was more consistent and faster without them... safer too. Leo
