lawboy
Is anybody running Aguila SE Extra 40-grain plated solids for steel? I shoot a Marvel on a dedicated 2011 frame. Wondering if I should give this ammo a try. Can't find any cci blazer or mini mags.
cferree
I'm using it in my RFPO (Ruger 22/45 with a Allchin Comp) and they run fine. I was previously using 36-38 grain bullets, and I can't tell the difference between the 3X and 40 grain bullets. I bought in after a recommendation at the NRA show. Two bricks in without issue. jkrispies
My 10/22 rifle will eat anything but the reliability on those weren't fantastic for me. I like the round (it gets to the target fast!!!) but im avoiding them. As I recall they are a little shorter (?) and were tipping while trying to feed. I might be remembering a different grain though.
Flatland Shooter
I don't know how long it will last but Palmetto State Armory has some CCI Mini Mag in stock at 8.3 cents per round.
lawboy
Ordered 10,000 of the Aguila round from sportsman's guide. I guess I am committed. I hope they run in the pistol. If not, I have plenty of rifles that will love them ... Edited May 23, 2017 by lawboy
tyman1876
Guess I'm a little late for suggestions but for what it's worth I've always liked Aguila
AzShooter
I've been using the SE Extra in my 22/45 and have not had any problems with it. Very accurate and reliable.
