IHMSA15151
I've been running the same 5 factory mags of various lengths through my STI pistols for a couple of years now. Never had an issue until a match last Sat. when in the middle of a stage the gun went "click", after tap & rack with no bullets coming into the chamber I dropped the mag and saw that the rounds weren't coming up with any spring tension. On further inspection, it appears that the rounds jammed together where the mag tapers from double wide to single. I'm pretty sure it wasn't the follower sticking because when I dropped the bottom plate I had to tap the mag tube a bit to get the rounds to come loose. I couldn't find anything in the mag like sand or such. Anyone ever have this issue? I'll clean them thoroughly and test later in the week but I'm wondering if this is common with double stack or just a fluke incident. Any input would be appreciated. Trent1k1
How often do you change the mag spring? I change them about every 6 months or whenever I have any mag problems. It usually solves the problems and I don't have to mess with anything else.

my00wrx1
Do you use case lube when your reloading?

But, you should take the mag apart and clean the inside with a mag brush after Every Time the mag hits the ground (reloads).

my00wrx1
I have seen case lube go tacky and cause rounds to feed poorly in magazines.
