docscoutjr
Please excuse, up here in Canada we are a tad behind our brethren down south, but I noticed that IMR has released its new colour coded powder line up! Any intel on these...? I am so wanting to find a comparable replacement for 4756.
Steve RA
Chris Hodgdon says that 572 is pretty close.

hceuterpe
There are *5* new IMR pistol powders, according to the 2017 manual (which is right in front of me[emoji16])Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
anachronism
They're copies of the Hercules/Alliant flake type "dot" powders. Red Dot, Blue Dot, Green Dot, Unique, & Bullseye (I believe). They are alleged to burn cleaner than the "Dots" http://www.imrpowder.com/shotpist.html
Catfur
I strongly suspect that GD wanted to create new lines of close copies of their existing powders that meet EU ROHS (Restriction on Hazardous Substances) regs, likely for the manufactured ammo market, and that Vista (Alliant) did not want to put to market powders that were nearly identical to their existing lines, Hodgdon, not already marketing the nearly identical items, likely jumped at the opportunity. kyguy
Sounds like Marketing BS. Did anything change besides the names?
