Stock STI .40 S&W Chamber Depth

Can anyone tell me if a stock STI in .40 will work with ammo loaded to 1.20"?

It will depend on your bullets profile. In my edge I have loaded Bayou and Blue bullets out to 1.19 with no issue. When I used Precision bullets they would not chamber properly at that length. If you really need to run ammo at that length you may need to have the throat reemed.

Take some modeling clay and stuff it in the chamber then put the barrel in the freezer.  When it gets hard, remove the clay and compare to the loaded round.

Same here. Loaded out to 1.2 for my edge. Not one issues at that length.
