Delta66
Get them while they're hot! I was on the fence about buying one and am glad that I found out. If you're debating, now is the time.

I called my local dealer to buy one and they said it wasn't on the 2017 price list. I was surprised so i called STI directly and they confirmed. JimmyBob
Just the 40? Weird, is there a replacement of some kind? Seems like an odd market to give up on...

STI said the DVC would be the closest thing in .40. Sounds like they didn't make sales quotas. It's already pulled from the website.
JGus
Wow. That will suck for competition shooters wanting a good 40 1911 series 70 at a decent price. Based on their price point for the Trojan 40, i can't think of another 70 series 40 1911 in that price range ($1200-$1300)? I sure see a lot of Trojan 40's in competition. I own two myself. diver60540
Whoa! That's a big hit. I know sstk 40's can be finicky, but I see more Trojans in use for USPSA than anything else ? Edited January 28, 2017 by diver60540
CaptainOverkill
I hate to see the already small number of options in 40 reduced. That said, when I get around to buying one it will probably be a Sig Max over a Trojan. The series 80 stuff doesn't bother me in the least as long as the gun runs, and I think the Max is a better bargain and more ready-to-go out of the box. konkapot
That is peculiar; I have had several over the years and they all ran great. I wonder how "off" the volume was from what they needed to do to make money on it.
Titaniumbadger22
On a related subject, I no longer see the Eagle listed on their website, is that one gone as well?
S&W686
I had one in .40 and sold it last year. I wish I would have keep it.
Chromenomad
I went and picked up the last one at my local shop the other night after seeing it was discontinued. They said i was doing them a favor by taking it off their hands...been there for over a year.
troupe
Pick up a Rock Island in 10mm and switch the barrel. The Rock Island will do everything the STI would for less, even after the personalized options that someone will add. The gun will not be shot out. I have built many Rock Islands and they are still running, accurate and happy purchases.
BARRYJ
Most people I notice that shoot a Trojan have the 9mm and shoot minor or the 45 and shoot major.
mrasam
I have a .40 Trojan that runs like a champ (after much work including a trip to Virgil Tripp to recut the feed ramp). It's my backup gun now, but I trust that it will run when I need it.
