CCI#41 Primers for major

Won 2K of these primes at a match. 5.56 Nato Mil-Spec SRP. I use regular CCI SRP in my 38 super major load for my DVC. Will these work? Supposed to be harder to prevent slam fires. I don't load 5.56 anymore.

I'd say load up 100 of them and test it out.  If it lights off with your current hammer/main spring, you're gtg.

If your hammer/main spring is high enough, it should light off with no issues.

The problem is that most open guns have reduced power main springs, which is why I opt NOT to use SRP. CCI makes hard primers to begin with, even if you test them and they seem fine, you may still end up with a light strike. I would not risk it, or use the CCI SRP for practice only, but not for matches.

See if you can sell them locally, #41's are more expensive than #500 or #550. If you have an extended firing pin you shouldn't have a problem but why subject your pin to that kind of abuse? I bought 10K and had problems. I sold them to a 3 gunner who was happy to get them and went back to SPP. No problems since and that's been over a year.
