Onepocket
Other than magazine what would cause a nose up bullet Jam in a .40 glock 35. The magazines run great in other guns.
andyroth
Is the ammo factory or reloaded? If reloaded what's the OAL?
Onepocket
1.135 They run 100% in another 35 and a 23. same mags.
Hi-Power Jack
Yeah, more details would help ... What type bullet (lead, jacketed, HP?). Will that particular mag cause jams in your Glock with factory ammo? Is it only the one mag that causes the problem? How often does it occur? Cold weather? Lubrication on the gun? Onepocket
180 bayou bullet. All mags do it. FP-10 OIL. Put 30,000 rounds with same ammo through this gun without a hiccup. It has progressively gotten worse to once a magazine. Like I said before the mags run 100% in another 35 and 23. I even tried a friends mags today and his did it. When it started doing it I changed all springs and the extractor. Tried brand new magazines. I am thinking it may be the magazine release, maybe its worn and giving the magazines a different orientation than it is suppose to have. I was almost sure a nose up malfunction was a mag problem until today. Thoughts.
Steve RA
Check the width of the mag lips opening. Try a different mag release, you should be able to borrow one for a test if you don't have one.
Onepocket
A new magazine release will be my next attempt.

Sounds like you can eliminate the ammo and the mag ... The problem must be the gun .... Lube is good, if enough. (But if you've fired 30,000 rounds you must know how to lube it). Could there be a crack anywhere on the gun? I presume the gun is very clean - you've cleaned all the gunk out of the entire gun???
dirty whiteboy
Try a fresh recoil spring, maybe it's something with the slide speed.
Onepocket
Tried several different recoil springs. Ordering a new locking block, pins, magazine release and take down lever thingy tonight when I get home. Maybe the locking block is out of wack. Zmaniac
Had similar problem on an XDm in .40. Look for burr on extractor that may be blocking smooth pickup of the cartridge rim.
JHB
I had the same problem on an M&P when I switched the mag release to the right side. The release tab would catch the mag follower spring.
Onepocket
I am replacing all parts. Would have already done it but midway sent the wrong part. I will let you know if it runs.
Onepocket
Update: Glock 35 is running 100% now. I replaced all parts one at a time. It ended up being the magazine release button. I hope this helps someone in the future.
Southpaw
That's good to hear you figured out and solved the problem. I was curious about this as my 35 has also been acting up recently. I just replaced the mag release and recoil spring as well; haven't had a chance to test it though. Did you use the same OEM mag release or get a different type of aftermarket one to fix the issue? And can you see any visual difference between the problem mag release and the one that works?
Onepocket
OEM. Yes it was worn.
Southpaw
Thanks. I didn't really see anything wrong with mine. Hope that still did the trick to fix it...
