TRUBL
So, first off.....I'm not selling anything. I do want to let you know that I've been spending some time drawing up extensions for Glock, Scorpion, SIG MPX and Colt Pattern 9MM mags. then printing them out on a 3D printer. They've been working really well so far. Again......not selling the extensions, I have them in the download section of the TACCOM website......they are free to down load and print out if you have a 3D printer (or know someone that does). I've been using PETG filament and they seem to be holding up well.......although, if you have the ability to print these.....print extras to throw in your range bag. For the most part, they've been adding 5 to 10 rounds depending on the extension and require no mod to your magazine. Just throwing this out there for guys that have the ability to print these out......as they are available at http://www.taccom3g.com/downloads.html Link to comment
dcloudy777
Soooo...why aren't you selling them? Link to comment
TRUBL
It's my way of giving back to the 3 gun community. AND......to promote the fact that 3D printing is really starting to gain popularity not only in 3 gun, but in our daily lives. There are already websites where you can go and down load 'gizmos' that you presently buy. 3D printing, in the future is going to change all that. Yeah.....these extensions may not be as strong as an aluminum one.....but you'd be amazed at how well they hold up. And the beauty is, for about $.50 a pop.......print extras so that if you would break one.....swap it out between stages. Also.....having your own printer allows you to use any color you want. Some may scoff......but if you do not own or know someone that has a 3D printer now........you will in 3 to 5 years. BTW......the Colt extension is up now Edited November 29, 2016 by TRUBL Link to comment
jrswanson1
Thanks! Does the Colt extension only work on genuine Colt mags, or will it work with ASC, Uzi, and C-Products 9mm mags? Link to comment

I tried some from another forum member and his screwed together from top to bottom and where they sandwiched together did not fit all of the varieties out there, The ASC mags have shorter lips than Metal form/Brownells etc. Link to comment

That extra 1/8" of metal is worth more cash Link to comment

Aircooled6racer
Hello: Since I don't have a 3D printer I decided to play around with some different base pads and came up with this for the Metalform Colt mags. Taran Tactical base pad for a Glock 17/22 mag. It makes the mag hold 34 rounds now. Still would like to get to 38-40 rounds. I like that they are aluminum and have rounded corners. Maybe Taran could make some long straight Glock base pads? Thanks, Eric Link to comment

I thought about something like that, but I was worried about kinking the spring. Link to comment
Aircooled6racer
Hello: It goes on and off pretty easily. I did bend the bottom coil flat on the spring. I will use these for my reload mag and only load them to maybe 20-25. The reloader seems to work fine. I am also going to try a Maglula if I can find the right one for the Colt SMG mags somewhere. Thanks, Eric Link to comment

It loads 5 at a time: http://9mmar.com/colt-style-9mm-mag-loader/ And personally I think the MagLula is vastly quicker, and less work to use. Link to comment
dogtired
I ordered a 3d printed part from this site which I think acts as a producer of peoples designs. https://www.shapeways.com/ It was pretty decent and reasonably priced. Link to comment

Yeah I got some 'updated' Sig P320 basepads from there before they were available from Sig and they've been fine. Link to comment
MemphisMechanic
I’m looking forward to playing with these once my 3D printer arrives in a few weeks. That’ll be fun. Thanks for reminding me about this post, guys. Edited April 16, 2020 by MemphisMechanic Link to comment
