swjenx
Hi all, I have recently decided to take up competitive shooting. I have one buddy from the fire department that has been asking me to go compete with him. So ill have atleast one person to help me out. Looking forward to going to a local "competition" they basically run idpa without as many restriction on the weapons you can use. So im taking my edc to compete this coming Monday. Just to get the feel of a match, timed shooting, and beeps and buzzes and all that good stuff. Hopefully soon i will be upgrading to a glock (17,19,or 34 havent decided yet). Souly for comp. Looking forward to reading and learning on the forums.

Hi-Power Jack
Welcome aboard Take the first shoot, slowly and cautiously. Bring eye/ear protection, a holster that covers you trigger, hat and lots of ammo/mags/mag holders. Remember, the only three things that are important at your first shoot, are (in no particular order): * safety * safety * safety. Don't go faster than your brain - and Have FUN !!!!!
