Alliant Clay Dot for .40 Maj?

I'm making the switch from .45 to .40 and  trying to not have to load up on a new powder if I can avoid it.  I've been using Clay's and clay dot for .45 major for years and plenty of it so....

I know some people are using clays for .40 major with a 180 but it's sort of one of those taboo things... anyone using clay dot in .40 major?  How did you work it up, this will be in a 2011 5" gun I'm building right now.  thanks!

Same as you , use clays in my 45.

Came across a bunch of ClayDot for the right price and started using it in a 38spl for ICORE.  Tried it in the 45.

Went to using it in the 40 about a year ago maybe more.

4.5grs CD, S&B spp, Mixed brass, 175SWC or 180grTC  Bayou, COL 1.200,

Get= PF 172, SD12

Slightly over 5000 rounds without a problem of any kind.

shoots soft, accurate out of my guns,
