Open gun

Found a nice used open gun in  38 super ..... my question is many people use this it 3 gun or stick with a limited gun....thanks

I guess the difference in shooting a limited gun or an open gun in 3 gun is that division do you plan on/ what division do you shoot in 3 gun. You might also find a better answer in a 3 gun specific forum.

There is a massive difference in cost, much bigger than the gap between limited and open in uspsa. Unless you are already set up for open division in3 gun youll need an open shot gun (plan to spend 2.5-4K for a good mag fed shotgun, mags, and optic) and add a side mounted red dot optic to your AR. If you want to be competitive anyway, if it's for fun, but some cheap optic to slap on your current shotgun. 

if you are already set up for tac ops, I'd stick to an iron sight 2011. If your plan is to pay to play in open with the rest of your gear, go for the open pistol.

you can spend a fortune or keep it fairly cheap in either division.

a holster that will retain your pistol while you're running and jumping

around with the rifle/shotgun.
