I just got a cost estimate and said to include a return label. Gun should be disassembled and only metal parts will be coated. Exclude springs. Oh hell, that place is 15 minutes down the road from where I work. I called and was told $200 a gun and that it would need to be completely disassembled. Completion takes about a week. They offer quantity discounts, but the number would be high enough that you would pretty much need to be a manufacturer. What I forgot to ask was if they remove the old finish with some type of chemical or powder blasting prior to doing the work.

rpacker
Do you have to remove the rear sight for the black nitride at H&M? I have a HAJO sight on my Shadow.

twister
jon49erfan, those are two very nice looking pistols. Do they both feel the same shooting, or do you prefer one over the other?

The temperature of nitriding would likely make the sight body brittle and would definitely destroy the springs in the sight.

I actually prefered shooting the Tac Sport over the Czechmate mainly because I had the Tac Sport longer and was more comfortable with it.
twister
Thanks for the reply. You don't often find some one who's shot both. Edited December 16, 2016 by twister
