Wa3gunNewb
My 2011 slide has been cut for Bomar sights. It currently has what I believe is a Rock River Racker. It's about 1/8" plate cut like a half a dog bone that sticks out the back of the slide. With the optic on my gun it's a pain in the butt to grab. Does anyone make a racker that is a drop in fit? Most of the Rackers I have seen look like a long thin flat bar but I have seen some that are about 3/8" round and knurled that only protrude from the slide about 1 1/2". I like these but have no idea who makes them. What kind of racker is this and will it fit a bomar cut?
Bamboo
sounds like you have a heinie racker like this one - http://www.egwguns.com/1911-parts/heinie-slide-racker/ Cheely makes a short slide racker similar to what you describe: http://www.ccgunworks.com/store/shop/category/slide-rackers/
BeerBaron
the cheely racker is very high quality and yes it's cut for a 360X60 dovetail (which is part of a bomar sight cut).
