You should be able to track him down especially since I'm sure they have cameras on who picked it up. I don't know how picking up money works, but I assume they need a signature and ID as well. You have a lot more information now that you might be able to follow up on! I think if someone has the time, they should pretend to buy another gun from him and see if he gives the same info.
