Paul49
Ran into three videos featuring Roberto Vezzoli and the 1301 Comp. Some of the information is great for beginners like me and some for more experienced 1301 users, particularly the close-ups of his loading port and lifter modifications. The first is an overview: The second addresses set up issues including length of pull and several close up views of his loading port and lifter modifications: The third is an introduction to shotgun handling that also includes a modified quad load where he drops the first into the chamber, then puts the remaining three into the tube. Paul49
Vezzoli was 2015 World IPSC Shotgun Champion. The videos gave the best views of his loading port and lifter mods that I've seen. The 45 degree lifter trim looks like a great way to avoid thumb bite. kurtm
Two things to remember what works for one persons thumb may not work for another. This kind of cut can cause all sorts of trouble when port loading single shells as the nose of the shell can drop too far and then jam in a vertical stove pipe. You have to approach this carefully! You have to really understand what you are trying to do and how far is too far......before you get there. My amigo Roberto understands this, make sure you do as well before you go this far!
