IMG tags issues

I tried inserting an image into a post with the IMG tags.  It kept removing the first tag when I hit submit and the same when I edited it.

I thought it was my tablet so I tried editing from a computer this morning and had the same problem.

This is the thread, not sure if it's something with the forum or if I'm missing something.

Did you try clicking "Reply to this topic" and then just drag the pic to the post / text box? Or click "choose files"?

No. The image is hosted online and I was trying to imbed the link. Done it that way on every forum forever.

This image was inserted using the "Insert image from URL" dialog in the "Insert other media" menu at the bottom right corner.

When I try to use insert other media button it seems like it works except the image doesn't show up in the post. LOLOL.
