Weird question about DAA race master pouche

Are the silver ones painted or just polished aluminum? Heard that only negetitive thing about these pouches are the paint chips off.. Was hoping the silver ones aren't painted. I am kinda anal about how stuff looks..chipped off paint would drive me nuts

You should buy cheaper plastic pouches then. What are going to do when your mag wells get ate up from reloads?

My black RM's are 3 years old or so and only have minimum blemishes in the finish.

They're not painted, they're anodized. The anodizing can be worn off. The silver ones are non-anodized. If you want your gear to stay looking new just use it for matches and don't practice. Your competition will thank you.

All gear gets used and abused. I wouldn't worry about it. If it looks worn you are doing it right and getting better. If its shiny and new you look like a noob.

I have the silver ones and they look like they are clear anodized. I would not think they would leave them unfinished since they would not have any hard coat on them to stop them from getting easily dinged.

Clear anno as others said.

If you use your gear it does wear.  If you beat on it, it shows it faster.
