Electric ear plugs

This has me curious to see what insurance will do about protection and preventative care.

I have Soundgear plugs for shooting. The model I have allows for amplification of sounds while blocking sound above 85db. They work great for shooting and allow me to avoid wearing ear muffs when it is hot. Paid $785. MSR is about $1200. 

However...for every day use they fall way short of my $5800 Phonak hearing aids  Those have all kinds of both automatic and manual programs that reduce wind noise, background noise, change microphones to aim at speakers like in a restaurant where background noise can drown out the voices at your table . Nope..don't try to sub shooting ear plugs for real hearing aids  There is no comparison
