thermobollocks
Hey revo guys, anyone loaded the 160 grain Bayous in a short colt (or 9mm with cylinder gap) to minor power factor? Preferably with Titegroup? I picked up a box to try but it seems more people are using the Xtreme 165s.

Bamboo
I use the 160 gr Bayous in 38 short colts- great bullet for my 627. I use clay dot at 2.9 gr, 1.195"ish oal
pskys2
3.0 grains with f100 at 1.180 OAL gave 840 f/s. Never went beyond that load due to liking Clays better. The accuracy was very good, Titegroup just tends to heat up the barrel/frame quicker.
thermobollocks
I can't claim to know what F100 is. I'm a bit surprised that Clays successfully made minor, since I haven't been able to do so in 9mm with 147s. I'm used to Titegroup's heat implications as is, and it's not too bad in 147s. jcc7x7
Last weeks match shot a 38 round stage with 3.0 of TG and 160 Bayou's ( great Bullet), 4" 627 S&W Cyl was not hot, My wife shoots TG out of hers also and she didn't say a word about the heat of the cyl when she finished the stage. I like TG in short colt and I'm ordering another case this coming week, this will be the 3rd case of the 160 Bayou's I've used with TG. Also not a problem shooting indoor matches during the winter, If there is smoke I don't see it. I bell the case just enough to not have to hold the bullet during the reloading. Probably less than a .005-6 bell/flare from the powder measure. Loading on a Dillon
