biglou13
I'm gathering parts for next build. a gamer rifle. I have long (ish) arms and have never used but stock collapsed have carbine legnth and am quite pleased ( tacc com buffer and gas block) I'm thinking of using rifle length buffer on fixed stock on next build planning on adjustable gas key, tac com rifle buffer how does carbine length compare to rifle length in performance? BOOM
Buffers, Buffers, and more buffers. With all question WE WILL get to the bottom of this
12Bravo
I would suggest an adjustable gas block rather than gas key if you really want adjustable gas. In my experience the only time an adjustable key is warranted is if you have, for example, an A2 FSB that you don't want to remove. Otherwise it is much cleaner to have the extra gas/ carbon exit out the front of the barrel instead of into your receiver.

All those excess gasses exited receiver along with millions of others without adjustable block.... Still shooting that way.... Other than cleaner..... ( I don't mind cleaning on ocassion) ( and I discovered the wonders of chlorine fre brake cleaner) Do you think there is much a difference in function. I'm happy with block.... I just bought new barrel with pinned gas block thought I'd try something different
12Bravo
I was very happy with my RCA Ti BCG with adjustable key. Only switched over to the SLR gas block recently and like I said it's cleaner. Can't tell a difference between the two other than that.
