M4 Mike
Accurate long distance free-hand is tough. I use a 10/22 with 6X24 scope to practice breath control and swing through on distant targets. Use one inch target pasters. Cheap and effective. Also, keep a ballistics card in your range bag to refer to for drop and drift. Takes out the guess work. Now, how far is that target? MikeFoley
Being able to consistently hit a popper at 200 yards, and fast repeatedly at 100 offhand is not extremely difficult, but most shooters don't familiarize themselves to it. I got my first chance to practice a little 100 and 200 yard steel this week, and it was way cool. Around here, there a few ranges with any distance, and fewer who allow you to do what you want either by design, target availability, or traffic. I am eagerly trying to piece together a rimfire practice rifle.
benny hill
Big dave get rid of the dot & get a 1x5 scope & your hits will be easier to call & see.
MikeFoley
I know Benny loves the pro diamond, and it is really cool. I love my Accupoint better than any optic I have ever owned. Big Dave, you can try it at ORPC later in the month if you like.
