Recoil spring questions

Q1 - If I use the long slide 8# recoil spring from Lim Pro in the Stock 2, is it equivalent to the standard size 10# recoil spring? Along the same line, 6# long slide recoil spring = 8# standard recoil spring?

Q2 - Does anyone feel recoil differences between the 10# and 8# (standard size) on the Stock 2?

Let me add..... the 8# made the gun feel sluggish. ... have you considered the 9# ????? ( that's been the perfect one for ME )

Thanks guys. I have tried 8#, 9# and 10# standard, and cannot say I feel any differences LOL

BTW it's on 132PF. Maybe the PF too low to make a difference.

Perhaps an Unloaded Table Start will help you decided which spring to choose.......There you will see the difference between the 8# and 10# ....... for me the 9# is the best of both worlds at 130PF

8# feels faster, 10# feels more pleasant. Subjective though.

I had someone film bill drill. 8# showed less muzzle dip when slide went into battery. A GM explained that is a better determining factor to get the gun shooting flatter and faster, assuming that everything still runs. But I did polish the frame and slide rails to ensure a minimum friction smooth as glass action.
