Hammer1
. A sealed bag of 1,000 (+/-) range fired 45 ACP brass cases labeled “Grizzly Brass” was purchased. In general the brass looked pretty good. I have sorted all the brass in that bag trying to separate out the small primer pocket brass from the large primer brass. Found 31 different brands of cases in that single bag. Aguila Armscor USA Blazer CBC DRT ELO Federal * Federal * Fiocchi Freedom GBW Geco GFL Hornady *I* ICC ICC NTF Military Perfecta PMC PMP PPU Remington RWS Speer Starline Top Brass Tulammo USA Win NT Winchester Some brands had as few as one case in the thousand. Other brands filled a small Dillon blue bin. Counted 37 Blazer cases, which may be small primer pocket. Other brands of brass could be small primer pocket too. It only takes one case with a small primer pocket to jam up the works on your 1050. Found one 40 S&W case and two 38 Super cases in among the 45 ACP cases. There were two 45 ACP cases crushed beyond usability. . Edited May 14, 2016 by Hammer1

Miranda
popular case.... from a public range I would assume... as opposed to a 'police night' I would reload most of these if the brand name were the only criterion. so far in my sorting brass my only surprise was finding 'NORMA' in 9mm lugar. ... didn't know they did pistol brass. miranda

zzt
This is the exact reason I spent the extra money to buy my last 6000 45 LP brass with all the same headstamp. No problems at all, and better SDs. I still have about 600 mixed headstamp brass left. I use them for lost brass matches. I gave away all my SPP brass a while ago. I had been using it for lost brass matches, but somehow some it would sneak back into the LP brass containers. Now I don't have to worry about it. My new recipe (for the last year) for avoiding loader jams is simple. Never, ever use brass that wasn't yours. For bullseye and practice, my RP brass gets marked with a purple magic marker. Any that don't make it into the brass catcher are easily found. Action match ammo (mixed HS) gets marked with orange. I leave it on the ground.
