135gr S&S load data

Recommended Posts

I don't have load data in any of my books for a 135gr lead bullet. Is everyone just splitting the difference between 124gr and 147gr?

Also, might be interested in trying this bullet in .357sig.

Was

Googling this same thing today.

Bought 3300 from bayou. One of their reviews on the site says: 5star, best of both worlds between 124/147 in terms of recoil and uses same powder charge as 147.

If this thread is empty next week when they come in, I'll start low and make 2-3 loads with titegroup and report my chrono numbers.

To get 132pf, this is my current load with Titegroup and 135gr Bayous.

3.5grs TG

1.140" OAL

About 980 fps.

I have run 1.115 OAL and dropped to 3.4grs for the same velocity.

!35gr is pretty common as an IPSC production projectile here in Australia.

My production load is;

135gr Susan Island Hytek coated LRN

3.6gr ADI AP70 (Universal)

Federal SPP

OAL 1.095 (it is short for a CZ Shadow)

PF is 133

I have been shooting the new brick red SNS 135 with 3.75 grains of Bullseye in a VP9. Accuracy is excellent. PF is to memory around 131, but load data isn't in front of me. Don't remember OAL.

If safety is important, then you use 147gn load data and work up.

If you like taking chances, then use 115, 124, and 147 grain data and do a linear interpolation (just don't blame any one if you cause property or personal damage).

I'll start with my 147 load and work up. I run AA#5 in my production loads and really like it.

I also shoot 135s with 3.5 of VV N320. Very accurate. 130 power factor in my 929. Bullets are sized .358.
