Revofan
Go with the tried and true 627 with 5" barrel PC or v-comp. 327 is also an option lighter gun for quicker transitions !!! Trigger action job short Colt starline and TK or RS .025 nickel plated moon clips.. it's just like a 9mm but without all the issues you read about with the
Alaskan454
I would definitely go 8 shooter, nobody likes to do a standing reload. I've been running a 625 and will be buying a 327/627/929 some time in the future. The only way I can keep up with the 8 shot guns is to never miss, always hit the A zone, and make sure I plan transitions and reloads very carefully. You can take more chances knowing there's a make up shot or two left in the cylinder . As for 38 vs 9mm, I've seen both run poorly from the factory. Expect to spend some time getting the gun up to snuff or better yet find a used one that's already been worked over. In either caliber keep your head stamp the same and send some brass off to Dave Hearth for proper moonclips. Good luck and have fun!
Batmo
I really like my 627 Pro...won a sectional shoot with it last fall. If my wife would only get that second job then I might be able to get her to buy me a 929.
