bigboy69
I'm thinking around 6.6g of HS6 under a 125g Blue bullet. 4.5" barrell and no popple holes. Looking for approx 130-140 pf for steel and steel challenge. It's a dedicated steel gun now.
Foxbat
My limited data with that powder in 9mm Minor was 6.9gr with 115gr MG CMJ bullet, producing PF of 140 in Glock 17. In Glock 17C the same load produced PF of 135. Based on this I would start somewhere in the 6.0gr range and work it up. Blue Bullets fly noticeably faster than the MG's. JackinSD
6.6 should get you real close to what you want. I hope you are prepared for quite a bit of smoke. HS-6 will definitely be smoky.
bigboy69
It will??? Now I don't want to use it. I'll use WAC
Foxbat
HS-6 is dirtier, but softer shooting. If you want to use WAC, then try 5.2gr, it gives me PF of 135 with PD bullets. However, I use a lot of HS-6 in my Open gun and it does not really smoke.
Aircooled6racer
Hello: Use 115 grain bullets with your 6.9 grains of HS-6. Nice shooting load. Thanks, Eric
BiggMike
Your gun will be extremely dirty but it will be a soft shooting load.
mrsig03
I use 6.8g 115 RMR and it's not smokey but dirty. Rifle primers. 140 PF. Great for steel but thinking of upping the PF for better dot tracking.
norbyam22
I was playing with some HS6 yesterday, looking for major 9. Chrono was about 7ft away. at 6.3gr under 124gr xtp COL: 1.13" was getting 1210ft/s giving me 150ish pf. Granted, I'm using a XTP not a Blue. Shot through a Czechmate in open config. I'm not suggesting any load, just sharing some information I got yesterday. Edited April 28, 2016 by norbyam22
