IGOTGLOCKED
It has been recommended to me by Dillon to try using JB Weld to fill in the drain hole in my seating stem that is creating a dimple on my X-treme 147 9mm bullets. Does anyone have any experience doing this? Thx!
Rob1125
I've never done this, but there is a tech tip on the uniquetek website on how to do this with hot glue. It's tip #10. http://www.uniquetek.com/site/696296/page/217691
Miranda
can't live with a dimple? hmmm.... jbweld is fairly stiff as I recall. grease a bullet, one with no dimple so it won't stick. pull the seating stem mix up a little jb weld put enough jb in the hole to fill it and set your greased bullet on it... I guess it would be a good idea to set it straight buuut I am not too sure how you can keep it all straight and not glue the die together... miranda miranda

The case fits tight enough in the sleeve to support it in a vertical position. I will give it a go this evening, it will be 24 hours at 8pm which is what JBW recommends for a competete cure time... I will report the results. If this works it could be what I do to customize a seating stem for each different bullet I load - we'll see... Cheers! IGOTGLOCKED
Ok, with reservations I experimented with Dillon's recommendation of using JB Weld to customize a seating stem for the 147 gr X-treme bullets I was having the "pimple" issues with. I ran a test of a handful tonight and it appears this worked! I will run a few hundred and report back as to the results as well. My question now is will it last..? Only time will tell right?
