Got this for my 11 yo to shoot 3 gun. Had the stock reduced and opened the loading port. Want to put on a mag tube extension. Nordic components does not make any for this 20 guage but they do for benelli 20 guage they didnt know about compatibility. Anyone know what to do?

Yes, get the 20 ga extension for the M1. I had to edit this because I relied on memory to answer. The Nova does not fit.

You do have to trim a few things. The stock is easily trimmed on the table saw, you then have to trim back that unthreaded aluminum visible in the top pic. I think I used a hacksaw. Bottom pic is with it assembled without trimming that little bit.

Accessories, namely the bolt handle (MOA), bolt release(Nordic) and the safety(Taran) are drop in units of the 12 ga.

We have used the Nordic 20ga tube for this conversion, but machine the adapter nut and tube for a flush fit, rather than the end of the factory mag tube. Whenever possible I prefer to hack on the easiest to replace or cheapest part of the equation. Of course it helps that I have a lathe.......
