Quack
Just picked one up LNIB/unfired a few days ago. When i was looking at it, the mags looked like Mec-Gar 17rd AFC CZ mags, and sure enough they are. MG 17rd AFC with SP pads work. Sphinx vs Mec-Gar mags I noticed the MG mags with a notch at the bottom front work like the factory mags. My MG mags without the notch would fit, but were tight (~.010" larger F-R), and won't drop free.
Apexer
Quack, how are you liking the Sphinx? I'd like to hear a review from a shooter, and not a YouTube gun review channel. Thanks.

Quack
I don't have much time on it yet, as I've been busy. Here are some random thoughts. The factory sights put the POI about 2" low at 15yards, which is what others are seeing as well. The rear sight cut is a Novak cut, so I installed a 10-8 rear (.325"). The 10-8 brought the POI up. The trigger is HEAVY, bit smooth. I swapped out the mainspring for an 11.5# that I had, and better. Serrations have nice bite to them. My 1.090" MG 124JHP loads are too long for it. I'm using the small backstrap right now, but will try the others to see what works best. For reference, I can palm a basketball. I'm hoping to get a holster for it and run it in a few matches. Here it is with the 10-8 sight.

scubadds
Great review, I can only add that mine is very accurate. 100 yd shots on steel is "easy" if I do my part
Quack
Yes, the Sphinx is smoother than my Accu Shadow, and seems to be as accurate, even with the shorter barrel/sight radius.
soltangris
Myself and the youtuber Coyote Works both bought these Mags and put them in our 17rd models and both had the same result... They were very hard to get in.... I used my 15rd model and the mag went in much better... after putting the magazine about 10 times into my 15rd model, I was able to tightly mind you, get the mag into my 17rd model.... Weird aye! Just be aware.
