rustybayonet
I was wondering if Brian or dillon offers Veterans a discount? I own S&W's because they support vets and put their products in my reach.
eern
I can not speak for Brian, but Dillon only does for active duty and I do not believe that any Dillon dealer can offer any deals on presses. That is why no matter where you order a press from it is the same price.
dillon
Dillon Precision offers a ten percent discount to active duty military, and to veterans who were medically retired due to a service-related injury. Documentation in advance of placing an order is required, and all orders must be placed over the phone, not online, to receive the discount. Please email us for specific requirements. So pretty much dillon is taking the cheapest route to look like they care. Not too many active duty military can store powder and primers (only if you live off base) and the ones with a medical retirement are usually missing body parts and have no real means to operate a press. Why couldn't dillon offer a discount to all people who have risked their lives to keep America free and inturn keep the shooting sports legal, which keeps dillons money flowing in? Even 5% would be better than nothing to a dissable vet. Sorry for the rant but maybe go the extra step, it's not hard.
Nghthwk1911
Umm, I am sorry, but your rant is out of line, as a vetern I appreate any discounts that are offered, but I dont EXPECT them. I did not serve just so I could be intitled to a discount from every retailer I do business with. But than again I guess you ask for your Mil discount at McDonalds. We're really drifting but what the hell. I went down this road with Dillon and other vendors. No I didn't serve so I could get a discount and it's pretty sad that a veteran would accuse another veteran of something that pathetic. Hell yeah, if McDonald's offers a discount I'll sure take them up on it. Same goes for any other company. I ask all the time when buying stuff. It's hard to explain but I don't feel entitled to a discount. But when it's not offered I feel slighted. After all, everybody is very patriotic when soldiers go off to war and even for a short time after they return but eventually it wears off. But offer discounts for serving?"well we're not THAT patriotic".
mikeyjones
While veterans service is greatly appreciated, its not a right to get a discount for life. Sent from my Z812 using Tapatalk
