I have that one as well but for the life of me I can't get it adjusted the way I want it. Also, the retaining pin has walked out on us twice at matches and locked the gun up. Did the sear and hammer help?

I have the TK victory trigger and bushing installed. I ordered the sear, hammer and spring kit from VQ and an Allchin 2 port comp. Hopefully I will like the pull better. Not too happy with it "stock" and the TacSol comp looks great but I'm still getting muzzle flip. What I'm finding is that the trigger creep is a necessary evil with the configuration I have right now. if you take it completely out it locks up randomly. I can't seem to find the perfect spot for it.

I like the VQ trigger that comes with their kit. I tried the TandemKross Victory trigger and didn't like it like I thought I would. My son has the Victory trigger in his 22/45 as well and he likes it.

How old is your son? Have you heard of the American Marksman Challenge? We did it the other day. It's a lot harder than it looks....

He's 30. I've heard of that program but after reading the rules for it I'm not eligible because I was once given some gun gear from a vendor. I would have to go back and read them again to find the specific clause that eliminated me.

If you weren't under contract you would be eligible I would think....

Eligibility

Anyone who is an amateur shooter, regardless of gender or age, who is legally allowed to operate a firearm in their respective state or competition area, can participate.

This tour is built on the idea that amateur shooters should have the chance to compete, improve and win. The guidelines below describe how American Marksman classifies an amateur shooter:

*Clarification on GSSF matches: American Marksman considers any match listed under the 'Match' tab on www.gssfonline.com as a major match. Any indoor league match listed under the 'Indoor League' tab on www.gssfonline.com is not considered a major match.

*Clarification for USPSA: anyone that has attained Grand Master or Master status is not eligible. Shooters that have only attained Class A or lower ARE eligible.

*Clarification for IDPA: anyone that has attained Master status is not eligible. Shooters that have only attained Expert status or lower ARE eligible.

*For a list of the 'national level shooting events' referenced in bullet point #2 above, please click here.

Note on the Boomer Shooter program: American Marksman does not consider Boomer Shooter to be a professional level shooting program and, therefore, participants in the Boomer Shooter program ARE eligible for American Marksman participation, as long as they do not violate any of the criteria listed above.

If American Marksman staff discovers that a participant does not meet the criteria of being an amateur, that person and their results will be immediately removed and no refund will be issued for registration.

Any minor child under the age of 18 must be registered to participate by his/her parent or legal guardian. Parent or legal/guardian must also be in attendance with their child at the time of competition.

For questions regarding eligibility, please email info@AmMarksman.com with “Eligibility Question” in the subject line.

  • No one that has any level of sponsorship in the shooting sports may participate. This includes a shooting contract of any kind including cash, product of any kind or reimbursement of match fees by a third party. This rule does not apply to shooters in the Junior division who have received match fee reimbursement, as long as they satisfy the rest of the eligibility rules.
  • No one that has ever placed in the top 10% of any major competitive shooting event (see link to list below) in any division or category may participate. Please note that for USPSA, this rule extends to the top 15%.
  • No one that has ever been ranked in the top 10% of any national competitive shooting organization’s classification system may compete. As mentioned above, for USPSA, rule extends to the top 15%.
  • Any member of a law enforcement or military unit that selects membership based on shooting skill is considered a professional and not eligible.
