New 3-gun blaster

Been a while since I've posted here. Anyway Gary from Gan's just finished my 9mm build in record time. He's still pumping them out in a week's time. The slide lightening cuts were done by J2 Linear Tech. They are his Signature B cuts. I also wanted DVC-esque rear serrations. Instead of a ball cut surrounding the serrations, it's a panel cut. I was shown CAD pictures before hand.
The build will get hard chromed after I make sure it runs 100%.

I had Gary trim down the bushing as well so it's hidden and not visible.

Gary is good. He did my Open gun in a week and a half. I wasn't sure what to expect, but what I got back was much more than I expected. I haven't had a problem with the gun. Plenty of shooter problems and some mag problems. My scores have improved.

What do you mean by "Gary trim down the bushing as well so it's hidden and not visible".

How much did he take off?

Take a look at the before picture. You can see the end of the bushing peek through behind the slide cutout. Gary basically notched the bushing at that spot on both sides so it doesn't show through.

I picked her up today FINALLY. The gun is still in-the-white. I'm going to send it off from hard chroming probably next week. One thing I wish Gary didn't do was bead blast the trigger. Ugh it was my fault for not being specific. I should have told him not to. Didn't think about it. Anyone know how to brighten up aluminum or know if APW can chrome that too?

I tuned my mags today and only touched on the feed lips. They are within 1 thousandths of an inch on the preferred .355 front and .350 rear.

Now just send that this way so I can try it out! Gary at gans always does good work. How was dealing with the j2 linear crew? I like some of their work, just haven't spoke with anyone who had first hand experience

Very easy to deal with. Emails are answered within the business day. I didn't have any issues at all.

It depends on how deep he blasted the trigger. Problem is that when he blasted the trigger, all of the anodized layer is gone. You get shine it up by sanding by going up in grit maybe starting at 500.

Did a quick range session this morning and put 140 rounds through the gun. 50 were Freedom reman 115g and 90 were Winchester white box 115gr. No issues whatsoever. They all fed, fired, extracted/ejected. The mags I tuned ran flawlessly as well. I didn't want to spend too much time with breaking it in. I'm going to have to repeat this anyway once it gets hard chromed. Time to break it down and get it clean..

Did you ever get it hard-chromed? If so who did you go with, and what was the turn-around time?
