kpbaer
After 3 years I started having problems. first shot or 2 would fire then hammer would fall but have light or even no strikes. Bolt was not closing all the way. turned out to be the gas rings. you must separate them. Just like rings on a piston. full of build up. Just putting it out there. Install a Ruger 10/22 extra power hammer spring. Will give you about 15% more power.Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
kpbaer
The light strikes was caused by the bolt not fully locking up due to the gas rings being dirty
swordfish
Yeah the 930s get very dirty. I clean mine every couple hundred rounds, and it takes me maybe a half hour or more to do so. I also installed the 10/22 hammer spring for added insurance though. Haven't had a malfunction yet.

swordfish
Swordfish - has the head of your firing pin mushroomed? Not yet. Don't have that many rounds through it yet, maybe 500 so far. Which part? The back end where the hammer strikes it, or the front where it bottoms out against the bolt? Scrmblr
Once you get the piston and rings clean, make sure you don't use any wet lube products. A dry film spray using PTFE/Teflon works great, and keeps mine running like crazy! Gunk and WD make a good one. I use it on anything involving the gas system or magazine tube. It doesn't attract debris or dirt/dust, and doesn't cause drag that liquid lubes do.

Takes forever though.
