himurax13
I am all set with my Major .40 loads but it has been a while since I made minor loads for IDPA but I was unable to get below 140 PF. I am looking for a consistent load to be in the mid 130's in either a Tanfoglio Match Elite or a Limited barrel. ATM I have Tightgroup, Regular Clays, 700x, and WST to play with. I currently have a few Bear Creek bullets in .40. 155g SWC, 180g TC, 180g SWC, and 200g TC. Does anyone have any minor loads with the components I have? Hi-Power Jack
I'd stick with PF 140. Or, use your Major load with a lighter bullet.
motosapiens
i use 3.0gr of clays with 180 gr bullets and get 132-ish pf and good accuracy out of a cz 75b (40). It's very soft shooting (and noticeably quieter than 9mm minor loads too). Edited April 6, 2016 by motosapiens
legacy
3.0 Grains of Clays 180GR Bullet that was my old 40minor load. Haven't shot it in years but it was crazy soft in my Glock22
himurax13
Thanks for the tip with the Clays. I knew I should have hopped on another 8 lb jug when I had the chance.
Solvability
3.8 gr W231 - Coated bullet - very accurate, reliable and whacks the steel
himurax13
Hmm, I do still have some 231 lying around. What bullet were you using?

FortyOverUnder
Can't beat 3.0gr of Clays under a 180gr pill.
bulm540
165" BBIs with 3.6 grains of TG. Nice load and accurate. May try 155s when 165s are gone. Gun is a stock 2. Edited April 7, 2016 by bulm540
Trini
Are the 180's knackered or lead?
bulm540
Used to use clays, just could not find it. Been stuck with tiregroup, not as soft as clays but damn accurate with 165s. Edited April 7, 2016 by bulm540
packeagle
I've shot the 3.0 of Clay's and the 3.8 of Win231. Both with 180s. I prefer the Clay's but I can't find any Clay's yet. So I've been doig the Win232 load for IDPA. Edited April 7, 2016 by packeagle

bulm540
165" BBIs with 3.6 grains of TG. Nice load and accurate. May try 155s when 165s are gone. Gun is a stock 2. Load barely made minor at 55 degrees. Will definitely increase powder by at least 2/10ths of a grain. 125.1 PF.
Climbhard
I dont have Clays but i have WST. Where would i start for a 180 plated minor load at 1.18~1.2. Thanks
littlefish
3.4gr Clays with 180 plated projectile works well, but that may bit higher PF than you want.

kujo929
3.2 Titegroup with 180's. Makes a soft and accurate load. Been good enough to win the local precision match. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
MKitzmiller
I'm excited to try some of these shotgun powders.. ZZT is a serious proponent of the E3 and I'm gonna give that and clays a shot tomorrow, (no shortage of powder in Mesa, AZ). How does the hopper like the shotgun powders? I'm running a Dillon and like anyone concerned about blowing up a $3k gun, I'm skeptical about how the powder throws..

Neomet
3ish grains of E3 pushing a 180 at 1.130 is just plain stupid fun and still accurate.
