Hello from Central Florida

Hi I'm new here but not to competition shooting. I shot IDPA several years back for a while and got in to USCA for a bit. Looking to learn more and get back into the game so to speak. I'm looking hard at trying my hand in USPSA in the next few weeks so any and all information is welcome.

Depends on exactly where you are and how far you're willing to travel.

When I was younger I used to find at least one match each weekend.

I live in the Clermont area currently so I have been to Volusia often, that's where I went for most of my matches. As for what I will be shooting I'm not sure yet. I used to shoot a 1911 in IDPA and can still go that route but I'm looking to go the 9mm route in which case my option for that is my Beretta M9.

I was playing pickleball in Clermont few months ago - right on Rt 27.

Not sure how far it is to Volusia from your house, but the Central

Florida R&P Club is 37 miles from my house - they have something

going every Sat & Sun (8/month).

I'm sure I am missing some. There is a facebook group called North East Florida Competitive Shooter that is a good source of info. There is a central florida one as well but can't remember the name at the second.
