chuckpetree
Have a safari land 014 holster for a witness; any way to change these over to the 2011 style frame?
Bkreutz
Contact Safariland, they make different inserts
chuckpetree
Thought they may but was not sure. Thanks
Bamboo
The Safariland 014 (model 014-853-xxx) will fit the STI and Tanfo/EAA witness https://www.safariland.com/on/demandware.static/Sites-Site/Sites-tsg-Library/default/v1410801029884/resources/willfit/PT%209%202-26-16%20Competition%20-%20Pistol.pdf The holster comes with some shim spacers that go behind the trigger block to take up the play. You may need to tinker with the shims or sand down the thick one to get a non-wobble fit. I've used the same holster for an Tanfo Witness, STI, and Caspian widebody gun. Only thing I did was adjust the shims and the muzzle platform length/position.
chuckpetree
I went and looked onsite and saw it should fit either. Thanks... Little research helps.
The Blade
I called Safariland the other day for a new insert and said the inserts are specific to the frames. I wanted to switch from Glock to 1911 and that said it was a no go.
chuckpetree
As taken from their website ordering information in my situation. Colt style 1911's ands all clones, sti, svi, and eaa 5-7". Which I should have checked. All listed for the same holster. Does look like Glick would be different, yes.
