blairmckenzie1
I understand wanting more clarity, but 12X is a lot of magnification for 200 yards. What kind of shooting are you doing?

open17
$250 is W-A-Y down toward the bottom of the "good glass" price range. Take a look at the Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14 x 40 In a fixed power, you might find a SWFA SS 12-42 on sale for your $250. You should be able to easily see .223 bullet holes at 100 yds with your current 12x Bushnell. Check your scope adjustments.
ttownracer
Several frequent competitors and posters here recommended the Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x with illuminated reticle which I ordered today. Little cheaper is the Bushnell Throwdown 1-4x. Either should be sufficient for 200 yards without breaking bank. Primary Arms also makes some better quality glass on the economy end of scale.
