Stevec717
So I am new to Tanfo and loving may Stock II extreme. Mostly USPSA and practice. I am getting used to the form factor and DA/SA and would like to stay with it for IDPA. However, the Stock II seems to have weight and dust cover issues for IDPA legality. If I'm reading it right, it appears the Stock I with its partial dust cover and lighter weight +/- 39 oz should be legal. Anyone else using a stock I in IDPA? Have I misinterpreted the problems with stock II in IDPA? Thx
aceinyerface
I'm not an IDPA guy but I think the bull barrel disqualifies it. The newly released (and probably unavailable) black one looks like it does away with the bull barrel.
johnbu
I think the limited pro is the one needed. Short dust cover, straight barrel.
Stevec717
I think the limited pro is the one needed. Short dust cover, straight barrel. I think that one has a problem in the IDPA box - overall length shows as 9" the box is 8-3/4"
Craig N
I've seen a few LPs at major matches and they fit the box.
Stevec717
I've seen a few LPs at major matches and they fit the box. Thanks - must be close. Maybe the OAL is rounded up in the specs or something. That's helpful.
vixty
I think some fit and some don't as they aren't completely consistent. also, I've heard of some people grinding on the beaver tail a little to make it barely fit the box which is as we all know Cheating unless shooting ESP. IronArcher
Mine fits the box perfectly. You must turn it slightly to make it fit, but it WILL fit the smallest legal IDPA box (remove right side of safety, or replace with smaller Ambi-safeties from a Stock II

robport
Mine fits too, except for the width. I had to pull off the strong side safety lever to make it fit.
Malarkey
I think the limited pro is the one needed. Short dust cover, straight barrel. I think that one has a problem in the IDPA box - overall length shows as 9" the box is 8-3/4" The newer frame, end of 2015 until now has a shorter beaver tail in the back. Change the safeties and it fits.

IronArcher
Not much, if any. My other mags have a smaller baseplate, but yeah, not much room left.
