Kungfurabbit
I'm hoping to attend my first match in the coming weeks. I've been doing some drills with an experienced shooter/friend. If anyone has some suggested reading I'd for preparation or tips in general I would appreciate it. I'm not sure if it'll be a pistol match or 3 gun so would like to read up on each. Hi-Power Jack
Wow, I 'd be worried about making a 3-gun match my 1st match ... I felt nervous enough attending my first pistol only match. First match - The Only Thing to Think Of during The Match is SAFETY. Don't worry about speed at all - accuracy if you must. Watch your trigger finger (keep it out of the trigger guard), slow down, don't break the 180 - listen to every word the RO says - And bring a lot of warm clothes (gloves, hat, boots, etc). Oh, and have a blast.
Kungfurabbit
The guy I've been drilling with will be my RO. I'm hoping we can set a Mick stage up and do a few runs through before we go, but I work an insane amount of hours. The safety you mentioned are things he's been pushing while at the range already. I hunted some growing up, but I'm 37 and learning so much now about this stuff it can be overwhelming
