Recommended Posts

Just noticed someone is selling round counters for Dillon 650's on Ebay for $1,000. You really have a need to know round count for $1k!!!!!!!!

Prices like that on ebay typically means they are sold out. It cost money to end an auction as eBay charges you commission to end early.

Not good enough! I need the counter with .01 round accuracy, nothing less will satisfy my anal itch.

Never seen ANY need for such a counter. 1000 primers more or less means 1000 rounds.

There is limit to ANY insanity.

I'm like you Foxbat 100 primers 100 bullets, 1000 primers 1000 bullets. Why would anyone need a counter?

A counter would be something kind of nice to have on my presses but not for 1000. Under 100 might be worth it if you really needed to know round count.

I just sent the seller a question. I asked him if this was awoke or a mistake? He responded that it is a mistake and will be changed this week. I asked him why not change it now? He jus responded again that it's Ebays mistake. His English is terrible.

My round counter is the factory box trays. When it is full - 50rds.

As makes for easier storage.

Same here with Berry's Bullets 100 rnd cases.

When primer warning goes off, add more primers, take completed rounds and load into 100 rnd plastic boxes.

Start pulling handle again until primer warning goes off, repeat above.

Sorry, too complicated! :)

I too use primers as a counter, the only Dillon Counter I ever thought about getting/making was one that uses an optical sensor to count loaded rounds as they exit the chute

I just use the plastic boxes that hold my finished rounds, 50 or 100 count is ample for me. When I run out of storage boxes, I have loaded enough.

If you use the primer trays to count rounds, how do you count once a primer was crushed or otherwise buggered up?

The arithmetic principle of subtraction ;)

You keep track of crushed primers? You have too much time on your hands. That's just too insignificant for me and more than likely most!

is there another question being asked?

on my lee turret press I lost 3 percent of the primers for various reasons

(they rolled into hiding or were mangled.)

I keep track of the bullets.

load up all of a box, be it 500 or 1000, and that is 500 or 1000 rounds.

I was recently playing with a Lee Loadmaster and they lack of audio/visual empty primer tray along with lack of feel seating primers caused me to rig up a counter.

And I still started with more than 100.

Would sell it along with the press for less than that counter though...

That is NOT the problem.

Your real problem starts when you load 105 rounds with 100 primers. :)
