biglou13
I tried running my .22 adapter after ez trigger job. And other mods. Polish, bob hammer, springs, adj gas block, It functions about 50% of time. Light strikes, I put it in a stock AR and viola' it works 100%. It it's functions 100% with .223 So now I'm doubting the whole lightweight hammer theory at this point. I'm going to change back to stock hammer spring and see it that fixes issue. Hopefully won't change trigger pull too much.
Shooter115
Interesting. I've got a dedicated .22 AR that I built a couple years ago very similar to your set up and I've never had a light strike issue. Mil spec trigger with a set screw through the grip threads to set sear engagement. Then welded up the front of the trigger to take out the overtavel, bobbed the hammer and used JP light springs. For a $12 trigger, I can't really ask it to be any better and it sets off every round I put through it.
biglou13
I'm using a SARK. .22 adapter it's a drop in bolt and .22 magazine. It's different than a dedicated 22 upper. I didn't have to weld up. And I hold my own with guys running $200 plus trigger assemblies....
Shooter115
Google search comes up short on a SARK conversion, but I'm using a CMMG Ceiner style conversion and dedicated 1-16 twist .22 barrel. Swap the barrel out and drop in a standard BCG and it would fire 5.56.

Shooter115
That's the same Ceiner style conversion I'm using, except I'm using a dedicated .22 barrel instead of the chamber adapter. I'd recommend trying the Taccom enhanced firing pin, and see if that solves your problems.
