You have to be a USPSA member to use the classified ad section. It is a privilege of being a member. And at $40/year for a membership, it is a great deal, considering all the cool stuff you get, including the magazine Front Sight.

One of the advantages of the USPSA classified system is you know a bit about who you are dealing with. All posts are from USPSA members, and posters need to use their PIN provided on the Frot Sight label to identify themselves. While this does not offer an absolute assurance of reliability, it enables you to know who you are dealing with, and that this person is a fellow member.

Besides, if someone offers a really good deal, it should go to a member.

That is a good point, Rob! I would never buy anything off that list unless the person was a USPSA member & I doubt that anyone listing stuff for sale there will sell to you if you are not a member. Another good reason to join; at least for a year. C.

I can't guarantee that each post is from a member, but I can assure you that each classified (except for some really, really old ones which bear a "not verified" notaiton) was made with a member number + pin code which gives you someone to track down.

If you are buying something expensive, you can ask the seller what clubs and big matches they shoot at, and look up some results - that way you will know that they are an active member of the USPSA shooting community.
