3quartertime Posted December 27, 2001 Share Posted December 27, 2001 i have a couple of para questions,,, does it hurt a para to dry fire,,,do i need to get snap caps,,,i have a g-19 that i got used to dry firing a lot,,,so i need to know,,, i need a good break down book or chart for the 1911,,,specifically the p16-40 limited,,,there are a great many of them on the market,,,does anyone have an opinion on which would be the best,,,i'm fairly techically minded and i would like to explore doing some work on my gun myself,,,ie...springs etc,,,i need a good book that i can use as good reference,,, thanks,,, Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

(pair'o questions...get it...lol..oh well) No it won't hurt to dry fire it, perfectly fine. You can order disassembly books from Brownells, either general ones or 1911 specific if I recall. Any current ones should cover the para type guns..the only thing different with them from STI/SVI/Caspian is the firing pin safety and its the same as Colts, so it should be covered.
